Ohio republican Congressman Jim Jordan, a perpetual outrage machine, tried unsuccessfully to make Dr. Anthony Fauci declare that outdoor demonstrations and protests are spreading the coronavirus, but Fauci didn’t bite.

Sans suit coat, Jordan equated outdoor demonstrations with indoor business and religious services, hectoring Fauci about why one was allowed and the others weren’t. Fauci stated he’s a public health expert and was there to testify about that.
Jordan pressed on, repeatedly trying to goad Fauci into stating that protests will spread the coronavirus. Fauci, however, failed to take the bait; instead, he stated that crowds in general, particularly those where masks are not used, are dangers for transmission of the virus.
Fauci accused Jordan of trying to put words into his mouth. At one point, Fauci dismissively waved off Jordan’s histrionics.
