In the lawsuit from writer E. Jean Carroll alleging a sexual assault by Donald Trump in the mid-1990s, the judge ruled Monday that Trump must sit for a deposition and submit a DNA sample by Monday, September 21st, six weeks from the order, according to HillReporter.com.
On Friday, the judge ruled that Carroll’s lawsuit could go forward while Trump is still in office. Carroll alleges that Trump sexually assaulted her in the dressing room of New York department store Bergdorf Goodman, reportedly pinning her against a wall and penetrating her.
Carroll claims that she kept the black wool dress she wore on the day of the attack, which has yielded DNA.
More than a dozen women have made sexual assault or sexual harassment allegations against Trump, including many that were made before he ran for president starting in 2015.
Carroll is suing Trump for defamation, saying that Trump’s insults and lies cost her a job at Elle magazine. Trump has denied ever being attracted to Carroll, saying “She’s not my type.”
