Nevada Senator Catherine Cortez Masto and Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar defended the US Postal Service from President Trump’s and conservative attacks, saying the USPS is vital to American residents’ lives and rights.
“Seniors won’t be able to get their prescriptions because he wants to win an election,” Masto said, noting that seniors and veterans rely on the Post Office for the delivery of their prescription drugs and other medical equipment.
Klobuchar made it more personal to Trump. “Donald Trump may hate the post office, but he’ll still have to send a change of address card come January,” she said, referring to Inauguration Day when she believes presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Biden will be taking the White House.
Klobuchar got another jab in at Trump later, when the former Democratic candidates talked about Biden’s strengths and Trump’ numerous faults. “He blames the Prime Minister of Canada for cutting him out of Home Alone 2!” Klobuchar said. “Who does that?!?!”
