Larry Kudlow, director of the national economic council since 2018 claimed that “the economy was rebuilt in three years” after teetering on the edge of a recession in 2017–which is a lie.
“Presidential leadership came swiftly and effectively with an extraordinary rescue for health and safety,” Kudlow claimed, saying that our economy is coming back, despite unemployment claims and no domestic federal policy to fight the COVID virus, let alone succeed against it.
Stephanie Ruhle noted that people who have the money to buy big ticket items are taking advantage of low interest rates like mortgage and car loans. Ruhle noted that 30 million people are unemployed while Kudlow is saying the economy is going great.
