An audit by the US Postal Service found that political mail targeting voters in the Baltimore area was delayed in delivery prior to the statewide primary in June, ABC News reports.
About 68,000 pieces of mail from a single candidate sat unprocessed in a Baltimore distribution center for five days after being received by the USPS May 12th, the report said. The items were finally delivered in late May, prior to the date of the primary.
The USPS audit of seven cities found that no ballots were delayed in Baltimore, but approximately 200 ballots, in a single bundle, were not delivered in Oklahoma City.
