White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows said Wednesday that President Trump will released his long-promised health care plan by Election Day, although Trump said last night that his plan is “all ready,” the Washington Post reports.
“It is all ready,” Meadows said. “We will be rolling it out before the election, sure. … He’s right, that it is ready.” Meadows commented that there were some “tweaks” and “modifications” needed before the release.
Trump has been promising that he has a health care plan to be released since 2015. He claims it’s superior to the Affordable Care Act passed during the Obama Administration. Trump told ABC’s George Stephanopoulos last summer that he would have it out within two weeks. He made the same promise to Fox “News” correspondent Chris Wallace this past July. No plan has been released.
