President Trump formally announced Amy Coney Barrett as his nominee to fill the seat previously held by the late judicial icon Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Politico reports.
Coney Barrett is a member of People of Praise, a ultra-conservative “christian” sect that called senior female members of the group “Handmaids.” The group was rumored to be an inspiration for Canadian author Margaret Atwood’s work, “The Handmaid’s Tale.”
