Saying “Brad Parscale is a member of our family and we love him,” the Trump campaign has blamed Democrats for the mental problems experienced by the demoted former campaign manager that led to a suicide attempt, the Independent reports.
Parscale was taking into custody and committed to a hospital after a standoff with police at his Fort Lauderdale manse, started by an emergency call to authorities of a man attempting suicide.
“The disgusting, personal attacks from Democrats and disgruntled RINOs have gone too far, and they should be ashamed of themselves for what they’ve done to this man and his family,” Tim Murtaugh, the communications director of the Trump campaign, said.
Parscale was demoted from his position as Trump’s campaign manager after Trump continued tumbling in polling and after it was revealed that Parscale has siphoned millions from the campaign and the RNC to fund his own companies.
The Biden campaign released a statement of its own, tweeting that politics “takes its toll on people in unfathomable ways. Regardless of the differences we have in our beliefs, we at the Biden War Room hope that Brad Parscale is safe, is with his family, and gets everything that he needs to get better.”
This field is tough. It takes its toll on people in unfathomable ways. Regardless of the differences we have in our beliefs, we at the Biden War Room hope that Brad Parscale is safe, is with his family, and gets everything that he needs to get better.
