The online voter services portal that allows residents to check their voting status, request ballots and update vital records for Pennsylvania citizens was knocked offline Friday, with service restored Monday morning, the Associated Press reports.
The outage was part of a equipment failure at a data site that also impacted systems from the state Liquor Control Board, the Pennsylvania Department of State, the Department of Revenue and other services.
Secretary of State Kathy Boockvar said the problem has been with a contractor’s equipment and there was no evidence of “malicious interference.”
