Secretary for the Department of Housing and Urban Development Ben Carson, a former esteemed pediatric neurosurgeon whom President Trump appointed to run the nation’s low-cost housing programs because he lived in subsidized housing as a child, has tested positive for the coronavirus, CNN reports.
The Carson announcement comes just days after it was confirmed White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows and at least five other White House staffers tested positive for the virus, possibly marking a new outbreak in the administration.
