New Jersey Democratic Governor Phil Murphy called Florida Republican Congressman and Frankenstein forehead model Matt Gaetz a “putz” after Gaetz attended a gala for the New York Young Republicans held in a Jersey City restaurant.
“I hope you are watching, Matt,” Murphy said in a public address about the coronavirus pandemic. “You are not welcome in New Jersey and frankly, I don’t ever want you back in this state.”
The municipal government of Jersey City shut down the restaurant pending an investigation and certification from the restaurant that it will adhere to state laws regarding gathering size and masking.
“It is beyond the pale that anyone would willingly endanger people in another state, never mind their own. It is also beyond the pale that a member of congress would participate in this,” Murphy said, with a photo lifted from the Twitter account of an attendee projected behind him. “That guy in the middle, the tall handsome fellow in the grey suit, that is Rep Matt Putz, I mean Matt Gaetz. Based on his past performances, it is obvious being a knucklehead is not beyond the pale for him. He was actually Sarah Palin’s backup act for this event.”
It is also beyond the pale that Rep Matt Putz – I mean @RepMattGaetz – would participate in this. What a fool.

Gaetz was tested positive with coronavirus antibodies in November, although he never reported testing positive for the virus, meaning that he was likely spreading the virus to the people he contacted. He’s been acting like a smug idiot since the pandemic began, including posing while wearing a gas mask early in the pandemic to mock people’s concern about the spread of the virus.
Ever the brat, Gaetz tweeted back at Murphy a lame attempt at a comeback: “You’re gonna regret this tweet when you move to Florida like the rest of New Jersey.”
