Just a reminder that 2020 is over quite yet: the former head of Israel’s space security agency has said in a newspaper interview that the United States and Israel have been in contact with a “Galactic Federation” for years, the Jerusalem Post reports.
Eighty-seven year old Haim Eshed told the Yediot Aharonot newspaper that the two nations have known about the stellar alliance for years, but has hid the contact because “humanity is not ready” for the revelation yet.
Eshed claims that lame duck US president Donald Trump is aware of the Galactic Federation and was going to make its existence public, but the Federation persuaded him to keep the secret under wraps because it feared mass hysteria.
As Americans have seen, Donald Trump has a great deal of discretion in dealing with sensitive matters, so it’s totally within the realm of possibility that he’s kept this secret.
Eshed’s claim has not been independently verified. The governments of Israel and the United States declined comment, and efforts by The Jerusalem Post to reach the Galactic Federation have been stymied.
