The Michigan state house has canceled all votes scheduled for Tuesday after member of lame duck president Donald Trump’s Elite Special Force Team and Nosferatu cosplayer Rudy Giuliani announced his positive coronavirus diagnosis less than a week after hosting an indoor, in-person meeting with state Republicans, the Detroit News announced.
The legislature will also not take roll during the session either, allowing members to isolate and quarantine if they were exposed to Giuliani during the hearing. Few participants at the meeting wore masks; Giuliani and his fellow ESFT member Jenna Ellis did not wear masks.
“Multiple representatives have requested time to receive results from recent COVID-19 tests before returning to session, out of an abundance of caution,” Republican House Speaker Lee Chatfield said in a statement.
