What’s noteworthy is that this comes fully three weeks after Trump endorsed the more vocally MAGA Lieutenant Governor Dannie Goeb, better known as Dan Patrick. Maybe it was Abbott’s tyrannical threats to defund the Texas legislature’s operating budget that won Trump over. Also note that – like pretty much everything Trump says – the last sentence of the endorsement statement is complete lie. Greg Abbott has let Texans down repeatedly, particularly with his terrible management of the February storm and cold snap that killed an estimated 700 Texans.
