New York Republican gubernatorial hopeful (and alleged son of a suspended attorney) Andrew Giuliani received no votes in a straw poll of state GOP county commissioners taken during a Party meeting in Albany Monday, Syracuse.com reports.
Republican Congressman Lee Zeldin received the overwhelming amount of support, with 85% of the vote. Former Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino 5%. Ten percent of the commissioners abstained.
Giuliani released an internal poll Monday that showed that he had plurality support amount with Republican voters in the state, with 35.2% of support versus 27.2% for Zeldin. Nearly one-third of voters were undecided.
