Communities continue to recover from tornados that swept through six states Friday night and Saturday morning, with Kentucky officials confirming that eight people were killed and eight are still missing at a candle factory, the Associated Press reports.
In Illinois, officials say six people were killed at an Amazon warehouse, including one that had taken shelter in a bathroom with his co-workers. Searchers are still combing the wreckage for any survivors or additional victims.
The winds were so powerful, debris has traveled at least 130 miles. A woman in New Albany, Indiana found a photo of a couple from 1942 on her car; the photo was from a house destroyed by a tornado 130 miles away in Dawson Springs, Kentucky.
