“The vaccine is one of the greatest achievements of mankind,” pre-deposed dictator Donald Trump claims.  “We would’ve had a 1917, remember the Spanish flu.  [FACT CHECK:  The Spanish flu pandemic started in 1918.]  Remember the Spanish flu killed maybe 100 million people.  [FACT CHECK:  General consensus is that around 50 million people died of the Spanish flu worldwide.]  Actually, it ended the First World War [FACT CHECK:  World War I ended four months before the official outbreak of the flu in February 1918] ’cause the soldiers was, a lotta people don’t know that.  The soldiers got so sick, it was a terrible thing.  There were no vaccines.  There were no anything [sic].  I came up with a vaccine, with THREE vaccines [FACT CHECK:  scientists whom Trump now dismisses as frauds and fakes created the vaccines].  All are very, very good.  Came up with three of them in less than nine months, it was supposed to take five to twelve years.”

Candice Owens chimes in:  “And yet more people have died under Covid this year, by the way, under Joe Biden than under you, and more people took the vaccine this year, so people are questioning how–”  [FACT CHECK:  434,000 people died of coronavirus through January 20, 2021, during Trump’s term.  Just 399,000 have died since Joe Biden’s Inauguration Day.  And lest we forget:  Trump started with zero deaths per day, and the first US fatality was reported in March 2020; when Biden took office, 4,000 people per day were dying of Covid.]

Trump:  “Oh, no.  The vaccine worked, but some people aren’t taking it.  The ones, the ones that get very sick and go to the hospital are the ones that don’t take the vaccine.”

Trump’s endorsement of the vaccine has caused a lot of angina in the MAGA universe, as MAGATwitter demonstrates:
