President Joe Biden has directed federal Cabinet agencies to implement plans to have all unvaccinated employees tested for the coronavirus on a weekly basis, as Biden wants employers to mandate, Reuters reports.
The Executive Branch directive gave employees until November 22nd to get vaccinated, after which the individual could face disciplinary actions or termination. Provisions were made to accommodate people with medical or religious exemptions.
The testing requirement would not apply to anyone working from home, but someone “should be tested weekly for any week during which they work on-site or interact in person with members of the public as part of their job duties. Agencies may require more frequent testing.”
