A deputy was shot by a driver in Harris County Texas during a traffic stop in the early morning hours of Sunday, January 23rd, ABCNews reports.
Cpl. Charles Galloway, 47, was the latest victim of NRA sponsored legislation in a state that makes getting a gun easier than finding a Covid test. The driver allegedly exited a white Toyota Avalon, fired multiple shots at the deputy, then jumped back into the vehicle and drove off.
The suspect is not yet in custody. Witnesses on the scene report that the shooter used an assault rifle of the type favored by Neo-Nazi and white supremacist groups.
