The House Select Committee investigating the January 6th domestic terrorist attack on Congress has issued six new subpoenas for information to two Trump campaign staffers and four state election officials, the Washington Post reports.
“The Select Committee is seeking information about efforts to send false slates of electors to Washington and change the outcome of the 2020 election,” committee chair Bennie G. Thompson said in a statement announcing the subpoenas.
The people subpoenaed were Michael Roman, the director of Election Day operations for Trump’s 2020 reelection campaign, and Gary Brown, his deputy director; Republican Pennsylvania state senator Douglas Mastriano; former Michigan Republican Party chair Laura Cox; and two candidates for Arizona secretary of state, Arizona Republican legislator Mark Finchem and Kelli Ward, the state Republican chair.
