CNN+, the streaming service which we bet no National Zero reader will admit to subscribing to, is likely fucked just months after its launch as Axios reports new owner Warner-Discovery has axed all marketing for the app and fired CNN’s CFO Brad Ferrer over the clusterfuck.
We’re going to put on our Dunning-Kruger hats and baselessly speculate that the paltry 150,000 monthly subscriber count for CNN+ has everything to do with the fact that there are already too many “plus” named streaming services, with Disney+, Paramount+, AppleTV+, AMC+, and BET+, just to name a few. All this marketing talent and all they could think of was the same fucking mathematical operator all the other guys – including newly merged in sister brand the Discovery Channel (yeah, there’s Discovery+ too) are using? Were they too afraid that “CNN Pro” would be too easy for dumbass MAGA trolls to lamely joke that it’s short for “CNN Propaganda“? Christ almighty CNN needs to grow a pair. And come up with some original dramas like “Jake Tapper, PI” or “Jeffrey Toobin’s Taxicab Confessions.” Those’ll put the asses back in the seats.
