In another example of Republican Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’s hostility to LGBTQ people while throwing his state back to the Spanish Inquisition, his administration issued new guidance through the Florida Department of Health to basically ignore clinical signs that children are struggling with their gender identities, the Tampa Bay Times reports.

The Florida Department of Health, run by a vaccine-denying, alien DNA paranoid carpetbagger from California named Joseph A. Ladapo, advised physicians against treating children for gender dysphoria with anything other than counseling.

In a move reminiscent of 1930s Germany when that government circulated health warnings about Jewish populations, medical professionals are told to ignore children’s requests to be addressed by preferred pronouns and to address them only by the gender assigned to them at birth, as well as to push children to dress in clothes traditionally associated with their birth-assigned gender. 

“Physicians may use guidance from different authoritative sources, including government entities and professional associations, in determining the best course of treatment for their patients,” spokesperson for the governor Christina Pushaw said.

The state guidance is not mandatory and has no enforcement power.  It runs counter to virtually every single medical journal and professional association guideline, including those from the CDC and DHHS.
