Warning: Audio not safe for work. “You’re, like, a white guy!” rider “Jackie” tells her ride-share driver before going on: “You’re, like, a normal guy. Like, you speak English.” The driver is immediately taken aback and tells the woman to get out of his car. When told again to get out of her car, she responds, “Are you serious?” to which the driver says, “That was inappropriate. It’s completely inappropriate. If someone who was not white was sitting in this seat, what would be the difference?” Again, told to leave, a male outside the car incredulously asks why the driver was refusing to take the ride. When told, the male passenger says, “You’re a fucking asshole. You’re a piece of shit. I’m gonna punch you in the fucking face.” The driver, reportedly James Bode of Northampton, Pennsylvania, called the police to report the threat.
