ABC News reports two military law enforcement services are investigating a member of the United States Armed Forces for an attack on other American military members stationed in Syria that wounded four.
The Army Criminal Investigation Division (CID) and Air Force Office of Special Investigations (OSI) are conducting a joint investigation. Neither the identity of the suspect nor that individual’s branch of service is known. A spokesperson for Army CID confirmed that the individual has been shipped back to the United States.
The specifics of the incident are unknown, except that four members of the military were injured in when two rounds from an indirect fire weapon hit the “Green Village” in Syria. Military.com lists a rocket attack on the Green Village on April 21st.
