North Carolina man escapes serious plane crash without a scratch

A unidentified North Carolina man stepped off a twin-engine turbo passenger plane that crashed on runway after a landing gear malfunction at Raleigh Durham International Airport on Friday, completely unhurt in the accident that left the pilot hospitalized with minor injuries, WRAL reports.

Well we kind of left a few what you might call “key details” out of the headline and lede. See it’s all technically true except that the guy wasn’t actually on the plane when it crash landed. So he didn’t get hurt in it. He jumped out just a little short of the airport. Well 20 miles from it, so they had to be pretty high up. No he wasn’t wearing a parachute. Guess he was really afraid of plane crashes.
