Chinese dictator Xi Jingping’s apocalyptic speech at the ChiCom party congress on Sunday was well received by an audience which had no choice but to applaud his thinly veiled threats against Taiwan and the west as he seeks the party’s compliance in giving him a third term, CNN reports.
Xi claimed China would “strive for peaceful reunification” with Taiwan, but “we will never promise to renounce the use of force and we reserve the option of taking all measures necessary. The wheels of history are rolling on towards China’s reunification and the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. Complete reunification of our country must be realized.” Xi then started shit-talking the west, warning of “rapid changes in the international situation” and that he’s “taken a clear-cut stance against hegemonism and power politics” and “never wavered” against “bullying” by the US.
