A Democratic-aligned PAC vaguely called the “Voter Protection Project” is trolling Republican House candidates from the right with disingenuous mailers and websites attacking them for being not MAGA enough as well as boosting Libertarian candidates in tight races, Axios reports.
A site called “TraitorDavidValadao.com” blasts California Republican Congressman David Valadao for his vote to impeach disgraced former President Trump, screaming “Deceiving David Valadao BETRAYED PRESIDENT TRUMP AND VOTED TO IMPEACH HIM,” and “Valadao Stood With The Radical Left,” on the fat bastard’s second impeachment in 2021. In Kansas, mailers urge voters to turn out for a Libertarian who will “crack down on illegal immigration” and “eliminate the federal income tax,” while a site “StopAmandaAdkins.com” warns “LOBBYIST AMANDA ADKINS IS ANOTHER TYPICAL DC SWAMP CREATURE” of the GOP challenger to Dem Congresswoman Sharice Davids.
The problem with the Axios article, besides the smug homerism of calling it “a Hail Mary effort to ward off Republican gains in key races,” is that it isn’t long enough. We need more examples of this.
