New ISIS leader Abu al-Hussein al-Husseini al-Quraishi will take over after former leader Abu al-Hassan al-Hashemi al-Quraishi was killed under unclear circumstances, Reuters reports. An ISIS spokesman wrote on Telegram that Abu al-Hassan al-Hashemi al-Quraishi’s death was killed while “fighting the enemies of Allah,” which kind of doesn’t really narrow it down. Pretty much everyone else is an enemy of Allah these days as far as ISIS is concerned.
It’s not known what if any kind of changes the new Al-Hussein al-Husseini al-Quraishi Administration has in store for the Islamic State after the Al-Hassan al-Hashemi al-Quraishi Administration’s six months in power, most of which was spent getting settled in following the similarly abrupt end of the Ibrahim al-Hashemi al-Quraishi Administration in March. Might be best for Al-Hussein al-Husseini al-Quraishi to just stick to the fundamentalisms: firm commitments to religious non-liberty, suppressing women’s rights, Koran-based education, and Sharia Law and Order. That’s the kind of message that appeals to the Average Mohammed. And if it doesn’t, just behead him.
