Former NFL star Antonio Brown has reportedly barricaded himself in his home in Tampa, Florida after police made several attempts to arrest him on a domestic battery charge, WFTS ABC-17 in Tampa reports.
Police had sought an ex-parte risk protection order against Brown because, according to the application, Brown “poses a significant danger of causing personal injury to him or herself or others in the near future and beyond by having a firearm or any ammunition in their custody or control or by purchasing, possessing, or receiving a firearm or any ammunition.” The application was denied, but the arrest warrant issued. Brown is believed to have guns in his home.
Currently unattached to a professional team, Brown is holed up in his Tampa home. He played most of his career with the Pittsburgh Steelers; he won a Super Bowl with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers during a two year stint before being released at the end of the 2021 season.
