Thirteen Republican House members and members-elect signed a letter to GOP Senators calling on them to block the omnibus spending bill Republican leadership negotiated with Democrats to keep the government operating, threatening Senators who vote to pass the bill.
The letter, posted by Phillip Wegmann of RealClearNews, is signed by such political performance artists as Matt Gaetz (FL), Andy Biggs (AZ), Scott Perry (PA) and Chip Roy (TX), joined by incoming members including Ana Paulina Luna (FL). In the letter, the members say they will block any legislation passed by the Senate that was sponsored by a Republican who votes to pass the omnibus bill. Basically, they just want to watch the world burn so they can assert power they do not yet have.
“We are obliged to inform you that if any omnibus passes in the remaining days of this Congress, we will oppose and whip opposition to any legislative priority of those senators who vote for this bill – including the Republican leader,” the childish House Republicans assert, saying they “will otherwise do everything in our power to thwart even the smallest legislative and policy effort of these senators.”
