Justice Department special counsel Jack Smith will make a decision on whether or not to charge disgraced former President Trump for his theft of classified documents from the White House as early as this summer, the New York Times reports. “While the possible criminal violations being scrutinized in the documents investigation are relatively straightforward, it is less clear what they might be in the investigation into Mr. Trump’s efforts to cling to power after his election loss,” the Times writes, which we copied verbatim as to be careful here and not mis-parse their reporting.
And for the libs who think Biden blew up any chance of having Trump held accountable for stealing classified documents by mishandling some himself, we’ll save the time of having to reply to each of you individually with this: Smith still has Trump dead to rights on obstruction of justice and other secondary crimes since the fat fuck knowingly defied a subpoena for their return. There’s no “optics” problem there if the standard being set is “okay, you fucked up, but we’ll let it go if you complied in good faith.” Biden did. Trump didn’t, after numerous opportunities to do so.
