School bus drivers affiliated with the Teamsters in the Matanuska-Susitna School District went on strike Tuesday over a contract dispute with the district’s transportation contractor, but instead of doing it early in the morning or after school hours, the drivers fucked off and left as many as 19,000 students stuck waiting for their parents to come pick them up, the Anchorage Daily News reports.
What a freaking dick move. It’s one thing to go on strike, everyone in a union needs to stick it to the man every now and then, but that’s bullshit leaving kids stuck at school, especially in a district reportedly covering an area the size of West Virginia. Just do the last run and then go on strike.
