A multipart question of “For each of the following, has our society gone too far, not gone far enough, or is it about right?” in a new Wall Street Journal/NORC survey finds not as many respondents as Fox News and elected Republicans would like you to think opposed to the “woke agenda.”
On “Accepting people who are transgender,” 43 percent said “gone too far” while 33 and 23 percent said “not far enough,” and “about right,” respectively. Only 12 percent said “too far,” on “Promoting equality between men and women,” versus 48 percent saying “not far enough.” On “Accepting people who are gay, lesbian, or bisexual,” 29 percent “too far,” 37 percent “not far enough.”
With “Businesses taking steps to promote racial and ethnic diversity,” 28 percent said “too far,” 39 percent “not far enough.” On “Schools and universities taking steps to promote racial and ethnic diversity,” they found 30 percent saying “too far,” and 33 percent “not far enough.”
