The Belgian federal prosecutors office on Tuesday announced a series of coordinated raids on suspected terrorist hideouts, arresting eight suspects, the AP reports without saying if they were right wing Neo-Nazis or ISIS assholes. We guess they could be Antifa too, but probably not.
“At least two of the people involved are suspected of planning to carry out a terrorist attack in Belgium. The target of the attack has not yet been determined,” said the prosecutor’s office in a statement. The raids come just after the seven year anniversary of the March 22, 2016 Brussels train station and airport suicide bombings in which 32 were killed. The surviving members of the cell are currently on trial – among them is Salah Abdeslam, who was the lone escapee after the horrific November 2015 Paris stadium and concert hall terror attacks which killed 130.
More recent however are police actions the MAGA side, as in September 2022 cops shot and killed one white nationalist terror suspect in Antwerp and arrested an unknown number in a series of coordinated raids on far right groups. So Tuesday’s arrests really could go either way.
