It’s not news that House Oversight Chairman James Comer is dumb and simply isn’t up to the task of selling the story of “Biden family corruption” to anyone outside of the MAGA voter base. Still, this moment is breathtaking, as a reporter asks Comer how he can “discount that Hunter Biden maybe just used his father’s name to get this money without any direct involvement from President Biden himself” and the fucking idiot simply walks right into it, saying “It would be hard for me to believe that Hunter Biden is so charismatic that he could convince foreign nationals to wire him millions.”

In other words, yes. Yes, it’s quite possible “just used his father’s name to get this money” because of said lack of charisma. Comer then tops it off with “We believe there was a return on the investment,” rather than “We have incontrovertible proof that Joe Biden knew and personally profited” from whatever the fuck this scheme was. None of the many clips of the rollout of this new Hunterghazi we almost used for this made any mention of that FBI document supposedly indicating some atrocious bribery scheme. The other lowlights include Comer boasting “We’re pretty confident that the president was very knowledgeable,” Congresswoman Nancy Mace saying “If these allegations, any of these allegations are proven true, then someone with the last name Biden needs to be charged, prosecuted, maybe spend a little time in prison,” and MAGA Congressman Byron Donalds begging the media to get on board by claiming “I’m giving you Pulitzer stuff here.”
