Actress Jodie Comer left the stage just ten minutes into a Wednesday matinee performance of her one-woman Broadway play, Prima Facie, telling the audience it was too difficult to breathe with all the goddamned smoke drifting into New York City from Canada, Jezebel reports.
“Today’s matinee of Prima Facie was halted approximately 10 minutes into the performance after Jodie Comer had difficulty breathing due to the poor air quality in New York City because of smoke from the Canadian wildfires,” said Prima Facie rep Jim Byk in a statement. “The performance started again from the top with understudy Dani Arlington going on for Ms Comer in the role of Tessa.”
Comer, no known relation to House Oversight performance clown James Comer, starred in Ridley Scott’s fucking awesome 2021 historical epic The Last Duel, and has a surname which allowed us to do another one of those really annoying misleading headlines National Zero excels at.
