Ruling in an issue separate from tossing out Donald Trump’s defamation suit against E. Jean Carroll, whom he raped (per the court), Federal judge for the Southern District of New York Lewis Kaplan ruled that the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office can receive a copy of videotaped and transcribed interviews from the original Carroll defamation and assault case she won against Trump, per Kyle Griffin of MSNBC.
While the information may not seem to directly impact the 34 financial fraud charges Alvin Bragg has leveled against Trump, Trump may have said things under oath that contradict information Bragg’s office has, particularly when it comes to how Trump handled his business operations.
