Louisiana Republican Senator Bill Cassidy, one of the seven Republican Senators who voted to impeach Donald Trump after the January 6th Republican-led domestic terrorist attack on Congress, says the charges brought by Special Counsel Jack Smith are “almost a slam dunk.” Cassidy goes on to say, “If that is proven, then we’ll have a candidate for president who was convicted of a crime. I think Joe Biden needs to be replaced, but I don’t think Americans will vote for someone who’s been convicted.”
