Ukraine’s Special Forces on Monday claimed that Admiral Viktor Sokolov, commander of the Russian Navy’s Black Sea Fleet, was among the dozens of officers canceled in the Friday missile strike on the fleet’s headquarters in the Crimean port city of Sevastopol, the Kyiv Post reports.
“Updated information on the losses of the enemy as a result of the SSO special operation to destroy the large landing ship, Minsk, and the HQ of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation. After the defeat of the headquarters of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation, 34 officers, including the commander of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation, died. The headquarters building cannot be restored,” Ukrainian Special Operations wrote in the Telegram post, which probably could’ve been translated better, but who are we to complain about good news being written badly?
