McCarthy thinking about resigning says he'll finish his term

Former titular Speaker of The House and now just Congressman Kevin McCarthy is considering hanging it up before the end of this term, Politico reports on what should’ve already happened.

“I’m going to spend time with my family… I might have been given a bad break, but I’m still the luckiest man alive,” McCarthy told members after he was removed last week. Sources say the gummy worm of a former leader intends to stay at least as long as it takes to pick a new speaker.
