Deeply corrupt Picasso-faced Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton will go on trial on state-level charges of securities fraud in Houston on April 15, 2024, two elections, one impeachment and nearly nine years after he was first indicted, the Texas Tribune’s Patrick Svitek reports.
“Unlike the impeachment, this is going to be a fair trial,” special prosecutor Kent Schaffer told reporters after the Monday pre-trial scheduling hearing. “The judge is not corrupt,” Schaffer added.
