It’d take at least 20 minutes and several paragraphs to list everything disgraced former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro is currently under criminal investigation for, not the least of which would be his post-2022 election coup attempt and possible involvement in the January 8th, 2023 insurrection by his fans in Brasilia. However long the list is we can now add one more to it, as the AP reports the “Trump of the Tropics” was questioned in Sao Paulo on Tuesday by federal police looking into reports that Bolsonaro “harassed” a humpback whale while riding around on a jet-ski off the coast near the city last year. The reason they know about it is because Bolsonaro himself recorded it on his phone and he or someone else posted it on social media last June. Under Brazilian law, boaters face two to five years in prison if they knowingly fail to maintain a minimum 100 meters distance from any cetaceans. Bolsonaro apparently knowingly got within 15 meters of the whale.
