Former South Carolina Governor Nikki “Birdbrain” Haley took 155,829 votes – or 16.5 percent – in the 2024 Republican primary at 95+ percent reporting in Pennsylvania on Tuesday. This was a closed primary in which early voting began more than a month after she dropped out, and still she was able to pull a not-insignificant piece of the Keystone State’s registered GOP electorate.
How did “quasi-incumbent” fat former President Trump do versus his turnout when he was the actual incumbent four years ago? Fucking awful. He’s down 25.3 percent, from 1,053,616 votes in 2020 to 786,485 this year. Joe Biden also took more votes this year overall than Trump, at 920,000.
