A Morning Consult tracking survey conducted Friday found 49 percent of independent voter respondents and 15 percent of Republican voter respondents saying convicted felon former President Trump should drop out of the 2024 presidential race, Axios reports on a result we’re not going to pretend is actually accurate or will stick given the fuckery of pollsters this year.
A slim majority, 54 percent, either strongly or somewhat approved the verdict vs 37 percent who strongly or somewhat disapproved and nope, we’re not letting this infect us or our readers with any sort of false hope that this is going to be a major game changer, despite the absolute fucking freakout in the MAGA propaganda-industrial complex suggesting they at least believe it could be.
“Where the two sides were even within shouting distance of each other was vanishingly small, if it existed at all. But a few voices in the Trump universe allowed that Mr Trump may well have done something wrong, and a few in the anti-Trump sphere said they had finally been convinced to vote for his opponent, President Biden,” the New York Times wrote Saturday about follow-ups with respondents to their most recent swing state surveys. Alright, enough of this shit.
