Evidently unable to find someone a little more relevant to book for his weekly show Inside Politics Sunday, CNN’s Manu Raju sat down with Republican former Congressman and former Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy to ask him about his grievances with the eight GOP members who stripped him of the gavel last fall, with McCarthy naturally saying they’re scumbags – especially Matt Gaetz who McCarthy said “should be convicted” for “allegedly” being a statutory rapist and so on.
As for actually current events and not the implosion of McCarthy’s career, Raju asked McCarthy the same question all Sunday morning hosts have been asking Republicans for the past few weeks: whether he’ll accept the results of the 2024 election if Trump loses. After a good 40 seconds of equivocation with the “Hillary didn’t accept her loss” bullshit and Jamie Raskin this and Stacey Abrams that, McCarthy finally said yes, “every American should accept the result.” RINO.
