Bored from decade after decade of staring each other down across a militarized frontier, North and South Korean troops have started playing a fun game with each other: The commies sneak across the border and then scramble back home when the capitalists see them and fire warning shots.
It’s kind of like Red Rover or Red Light-Green Light 123. Bloomberg’s reporting makes it sound all scary with words like “increasing tensions” and “risks for a small incident to escalate quickly” and so on. We see it differently, preferring to think of it as a cheerful way to pass the doldrums of careers in military service being spent just staring at rows of razor wire waiting for the other guys to come through with columns of tanks and a volley of missiles. Their governments should get them some Nerf guns so they can play Cowboys and Indians with each other after lunchtime too.
