A detail of Columbus, Ohio cops detailed to Milwaukee to help security at the Republican National Convention shot and killed a Black man about a mile away from the venue at Fiserv Forum after he had pulled out a knife or knives, local radio show host Dan O’Donnell reports.
O’Donnell writes that he spoke with man’s sister, who says he was bipolar and schizophrenic. The FBI and Secret Service are investigating the incident and well this could get pretty ugly. While it might not have been these cops specifically, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported on Monday that a detail from Columbus were deployed as a “police dialogue team” for defusing protests.
