MAGA propaganda network Fox News on Wednesday pitched a September 17th debate to convicted felon former President Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris’s campaigns, Variety reports.
The date is just a week after what would have been ABC News’s night hosting the second Biden-Trump debate. That’s apparently still up in the air given Trump’s recent bitching about it after Harris took over, but hasn’t been officially canceled either. So it’s not clear what’s going on with two face-offs so close together on the calendar when they’re usually more spaced out. Quite possible that Team Trump and Fox News are colluding to try to box out the ABC News debate somehow.
In related-ish news, Trump just posted “A BIG WIN TODAY IN HIGH FLORIDA COURT AGAINST ABC FAKE NEWS, AND LIDDLE’ GEORGE SLOPADOPOLUS. A POWERFUL CASE! BEFORE YOU KNOW IT, THE FAKE NEWS MEDIA WILL BE FORCED BY THE COURTS TO START TELLING THE TRUTH. THIS IS A GREAT DAY FOR OUR COUNTRY. MAGA2024!” without bothering to link to any news story or court documents or otherwise explain what the fuck he was screaming about on Truth Social.
The fat bastard then again tried to disown Project 2025, posting “I have nothing to do with, and know nothing about, Project 25. The fact that I do is merely disinformation put out by the Radical Left Democrat Thugs. Do not believe them!” to his fans, who won’t be confused by “the fact” part.
And yeah, this is getting far afield from the headline about a debate, but funny story: Political Wire reports JD Vance wrote the foreword to an upcoming book by Project 2025 architect.
