Dem Congressman Jared Huffman, leader of the “Stop Project 2025 Task Force” tells NOTUS that polling and focus groups are finding that voters aren’t buying convicted felon former President Trump’s bullshit attempts to disown the plot to systematically dismantle American democracy.
“There’s no believability gap here,” Huffman said. “People have seen enough of Donald Trump in his first presidency and of JD Vance and all of these extremists to know that they’re not kidding. The heart of why Project 2025 is having such a profound impact is that it’s true. It’s just true.” Just as true is the fear from the GOP that Dem messaging is working.
