An estimate by FWD.us, a pro-immigration group that advocated for the Biden Administration to announce an amnesty to allow the undocumented spouses of Americans a path to citizenship in June, sees roughly 60,000 husbands and wives of swing state residents eligible for the plan, 15,000 of them in Arizona alone, NBC News reports on exactly the reason why Republicans freaked out.
And why many of them aren’t applying for the program yet. NBC notes that some immigration lawyers are warning potential parolees not to start the process since if convicted felon former President Trump wins, not only is the program going to be canceled immediately, he and the Project 2025 crew are going to know exactly where to find who to round up and deport. Which should proooooobably be a pretty good motivator for the citizen spouses to get out and vote for Harris.
